Miller's witty story of Adam and Eve, written in the 1970s, is a tragi-comedy mixed with no little philosophy, since the plot covers the first birth and the first murder in the world.
The most serious issue, however, lies in the discussion between God and Lucifer over which power should rule the world. A typically thought-provoking and entertaining piece from a 20th Century American literary giant.
