To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, Proscenium are proud to present Stephen MacDonald’s Not About Heroes. Told by means of letters and poetry, this is the story of the chance meeting and subsequent relationship between two of the finest Great War poets at Craiglockhart Hospital in 1917: Wilfred Owen, who died in 1918 and Siegfried Sassoon, who survived the war.
Not About Heroes not only paints a vivid picture of the war, but also explores a transformative friendship between two men.
